Event Details

Join us...for an evening about young urban, suburban and rural farmers that care for our ecosystems and grow our healthy food! We'll screen the new Greenhorns documentary followed by a discussion with Michigan State University doctoral candidate and BeginningFarmers.org founder Taylor Reid.

The Greenhorns documentary film, completed after almost 3 years in production, explores the lives of America's young farming community - its spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker's hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of these young farmers, we can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture - to embolden them, to entice them, and to recruit them into farming. TheGreenhorns.net enable this critical meeting between minds, bodies, and land by helping young and aspiring farmers to navigate career paths, build skills, and connect with each other.

Parking...for bikes and cars is available in the church parking lot and at the East Lansing Public Library.
